2 Arrested With 'Ghost Guns,' Car Theft Tools In Pacifica Parking Lot: Police
Police said they saw a car illegally parked and saw a gun in plain view when they approached.
PACIFICA, CA β Two men were arrested early Friday morning after police saw their car illegally parked and found two loaded, unserialized firearms and a device often used in vehicle thefts, police said.
At around 1:53 a.m. on Friday, Pacifica Police Department officers said they saw an illegally parked car in the 400 block of Gateway Drive with occupants inside. When officers first approached, they noticed a gun right out in the open. Police said all three people out of the car and took them into custody.
When officers searched the car, they said they found a couple of loaded βGhost Guns,β including an unserialized assault weapon with a 30-round magazine and a semi-automatic pistol, which also had no identifying serial numbers.

Right next to the assault weapon, police said they also discovered an Auto Pro Pad key programming device. These types of devices are often used to remotely access and steal vehicles, police said.
A 23-year-old man from Daly City and a 24-year-old man from San Francisco were arrested and taken to jail on multiple charges, police said.

A third person in the car was let go at the scene without charges, police said.
