Pacifica Mother has managed to raise her son completely on her own, never having asked a single soul for help. Her proudest achievement. And what a wonderful son she has. She worked long hours for the past ten years saving for her first home. She did it! A two bedroom cottage with a little front porch. It was the right price but needed lots of work. So, she hired a local contractor in Pacifica. The next thing she knew, the local contractor had run-up her credit cards and emptied her accounts totaling a loss of $20,000. she had saved to fix up the house.
Because the money was stolen, she could no longer plan to replace the home’s damaged pipes or purchase new kitchen appliances. She had no choice but to sell the home she had just purchased. She and her son are now looking for apartments to rent. She no longer has the home or the savings.
She is still working hard every day but her income is not enough for rent. She cannot afford her son’s class trip to Yosemite National Park this year with his class.
