Final Public Hearing on Declaring School District Property Surplus Tonight

A committee will hear one last time from the public before making a recommendation to the Pacifica School District Board of Directors.

A special committee will hold a third and final public hearing tonight about whether a large amount of property .

The committee, known as a 7/11 Committee, will recommend to the PSD Board of Directors whether the two properties should be surplus, not what should be done with them afterward. 

The properties could, if made surplus, be sold, leased or left alone. That will be up to the PSD Board.

One site, on Oddstad Boulevard, was closed as a school in 2004 and is now partially leased to the  and the Kiewit Pacific Co., the contractor building the . 

Pitto Ranch on Perez Drive, another piece of district property, is also being considered for surplus.

The meeting will be held in the Pacifica School District Board room at 375 Reina Del Mar Ave.
