No Charges Yet For Owner of Underground Pot Club

Despite media reports that charges were being pressed against the owner, the police department's investigation is ongoing.

Chris Roberts at SF Weekly wrongly reported that Ruben Salvatierra, owner of the defunct cannabis club on Palmetto Avenue that a gaggle of high-ranking city staff during an outreach event, would face criminal charges.

The truth is, he could face criminal charges. None have been pressed to-date, said Pacifica Police Captain Dave Bertini today.

As Cpt. Bertini , falsifying information on an application to the city is a misdemeanor crime. A police investigation into whether Salvatierra did that when he wrote he was opening a flower shop on an application for a business license through the Planning Department is ongoing, Cpt. Bertini said.
