Law enforcement officers in San Mateo County said there were eight DUI arrests in the county on Thursday and Friday during a holiday weekend campaign.
Officers said DUI arrests during the 48-hour period are down from the 17 arrests during the same time period last year.
Officers said DUI checkpoints were scheduled to continue in the county through Sunday night, but those arrest numbers weren't immediately available Monday morning.
