Soundwaves Xmas moves to the big stage for its 25th anniversary

Free concert and TV Taping October 18th

Raising Funds and Collecting Food, Clothing and Toys for Peninsula Families in Need

PACIFICA, CA - Celebrating 25 years of making a difference in the Bay Area, Soundwaves Xmas (#SWXMAS) will be held Saturday, October 18th at 2:30 PM at the Terra Nova Theater in Pacifica, CA for the first time. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $10 that will directly benefit the Pacifica Resource Center. The final version will air on TV and online later this year.

Widely recognized for showcasing the best independent musical acts and Bay Area broadcast talent, the award-winning variety program promotes local non-profit agencies and has raised over 40,000 donations of food, clothing and toys for local families. The message of the show is simple: Buy less stuff and help your neighbors. Soundwaves was recently honored by the city of Pacifica for its contribution to the community.

Emceed by Dennis Willis and Steven Kirk, with Joe McCaffrey, Leilani Hanaike and Kendall Atkinson, Soundwaves Xmas is an energetic rock and roll charity show, with live musical acts, special guests and segments. Scheduled to appear on stage are Bay Area broadcast legends Dan Ashley (KGO News) John Stanley (Creature Features), Peter Finch (KFOG, KGO), Ed Baxter (KKSF, The Talk Pod), John Rothmann, Elizabeth Kate, Steve Wagner (Flick Nation), Ken Dito, and Stan Burford.

Scheduled to perform: PUSH (featuring Dan Ashley), The Deadlies (also the house band for Creepy KOFY Movie Time), Strange Hotel, NO, Hanna Carter, Azuah, Susan Watson, DJ Keith Sanderson, and a few surprises. There will also be a tribute to musician Sean Okin.

The admission proceeds benefit the Pacifica Resource Center, but the program will also promote the efforts of Homefirst, One Warm Coat, Project Night Night, the Pacifica Youth Services Bureau and the North County Fire Authority for their Operation Santa Claus toy drive.
