Vigil Planned in San Mateo to Grieve Lost Lives in Oregon College Shooting
The anti-gun violence group is asking the public to join them to grieve the loss of lives in the 45th shooting at a school this year.
A group advocating for the prevention of gun violence is holding a vigil Sunday evening in San Mateo to support the families and friends of the multiple people who died in Thursday’s shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., group leaders said.
Members of the San Mateo County chapter of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence will hold the vigil starting at 6 p.m. at the Congregational Church of San Mateo at 225 Tilton Ave., chapter leaders said.
Members are asking the public to join them to grieve the loss of lives in what they say is the 45th shooting this year at a school, according to chapter leaders.
