Do Palisadians have cookie recipes that would make even Santa crumble?

We'll soon be hearing sleighbells jingling above the rooftops. But, do you have a cookie recipe that would make Santa stay a few minutes longer to savor the flavor beside your chimney?

Pali Patch found three recipes that have ties to the Palisades. So, if you were thinking about just reaching into the cupboard, click through these options first. Who knows, if you add a little more icing, maybe Santa will leave an extra gift under the tree!

Diane's Six-Spice Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Epicurous.com listed Palisadian Diane Elizabeth Brown's recipe for oatmeal raisin cookies on it's website. Reviewers on the site gave it 3.5 out of 4 "forks" and 90 percent of them said they would make the cookies again.

Santa's Favorite Cookie

Malibu Patch columnist Dorothy Reinhold recommended a recipe she learned from fellow blogger Renee of Kudos Kitchen by Renee. The cookies are appropriately named "Santa's Favorite Cookie." According to the recipe, the cookies take about 10 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to cook.

On a side note, Renhold recently won second at a Pacific Palisades Pie Contest for her . So her taste buds are definitely trustworthy!

Pete's Pumpkin Bars

So they're not cookies. But to spice things up—and since there's a in the Village—here's a recipe for pumpkin bars. The Gelson's executive chef shared the recipe, which is described as "simply irresistable."
