Health Advisory Issued Along Pacific Palisades Coast
Los Angeles County health officials are warning people to stay out of the water through Wednesday due to elevated bacteria levels.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Los Angeles County health officials Tuesday urged residents to avoid swimming, surfing or playing in ocean waters around flowing storm drains, creeks and rivers until at least Wednesday morning.
Due to recent rainfall, bacteria, debris, trash, and other public health hazards from city streets, canyons and mountains are likely to flow to the ocean through those outlets, health officials said.
The health advisory will be in effect until at least 6 a.m. Wednesday.
