4 People Seriously Injured In Head-On Crash In RivCo: Cal Fire

Two patients were transported by helicopter to a hospital and the other two were transported by ambulance, officials said.

THERMAL, CA— Four people were seriously injured after two vehicles collided head-on in Thermal Friday afternoon, fire officials said.

The crash was reported just after 1 p.m. in the 58000 block of Fillmore Avenue, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Two patients were transported by helicopter to a hospital and the other two were transported by ambulance.

Fillmore street was closed in both directions for an undetermined amount of time.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer David Torres, a Honda Accord occupied by a male driver, female passenger and a juvenile in the rear seat were traveling at an unconfirmed speed southbound on Fillmore when they veered into a northbound lane and crashed head-on with a Toyota Camry occupied by a male driver.

Fire officials said the patients suffered traumatic injuries. Their conditions were not known.
