Deputies searched a nearby home, maintained a heavy presence around Deep Canyon Road and Moss Ross Lane, then cleared the scene and released students once no ongoing threat was found.

Motorist Killed In Fiery, Solo-Vehicle Crash In Riverside County (patch.com) — A deadly solo-vehicle crash in nearby Indian Wells early Friday closed a stretch of Highway 111 and drew a response from Cal Fire and sheriff's deputies.
