• Overnight Flooding Hits Cathedral City, Palm Springs and Palm Desert (nbcpalmsprings.com) — Overnight storms left parts of Palm Desert dealing with standing water, including a flooded driving range at College of the Desert that looked more like a pond. Across the Coachella Valley, streets in Cathedral City and Palm Springs were also inundated, and residents are urged to stay cautious on the roads as conditions continue to change.
• Yum Food Fest Returns to The Shops at Palm Desert Despite Stormy Weather (nbcpalmsprings.com) — Palm Desert residents just wrapped up the sixth annual Yum Food Fest and Night Market at The Shops at Palm Desert, which went on despite stormy weather. Crowds enjoyed food trucks, live music, family activities and a new Hawaiian luau experience, and organizers are already planning even bigger offerings for next year's festival.
