Multiple Earthquakes Shake Coachella Valley, SW RivCo Sunday
Several earthquakes have now struck southeast of Anza on Sunday, the latest in a series of quakes that have shaken the area this week.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Another, stronger earthquake shook the Coachella Valley, Southwest Riverside and San Diego counties Sunday afternoon, hours after several other quakes hit the same area.
The latest was a 3.9-magnitude earthquake that was reported at 3:37 p.m. about 11 miles east-southeast of Anza, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Four smaller earthquakes had been reported near the same spot within the previous two hours, starting with a 3.5-magnitude quake that was reported at 2:07 p.m., and a 2.5-magnitude quake one minute later in almost the same spot.

Sunday's quakes came two days after a series of earthquakes struck near Anza, causing tremors felt as far away as Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Bernardino counties.
There have been no immediate reports of damage or injury.
