Award-Winning Author Visits The Academy

Children’s author Dawn Wynne shared her interactive book with students at The Academy at Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church this week.

Wynne's book, “I Remember When,” is an interactive board book where readers journey back in time when music was played on record players and cameras used film, according to Tina Maize, The Academy's Admissions Officer.

"Dawn’s fun and interactive presentation allows children to experience life before the digital era," Maize said.

Wynne is an award-winning credentialed teacher with more than 15 years teaching experience. 

started up an elementary school this fall, adding onto its existing Kindergarten and Preschool.
