Congregation Commissions Academy Teachers

Twenty teachers and staff at the Academy at Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church were commissioned during a special service Sunday.

The church started up an elementary school this fall, adding onto its existing Kindergarten and Preschool.

"I'm proud to be part of this ministry,'' said Dr. Rich Cansdale, Headmaster of The Academy.

Students, who wore their school uniforms, sang "God is So Good" during the hour-and-a-half service.

Following the service, parents and church parishioners attended an open house for the school.
