Duplex Burns In Palm Desert: Firefighters Battle Marrakesh CC Fire
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department rushed to the scene where a single-story duplex burned inside a country club community.

PALM DESERT, CA — A Palm Desert home showed heavy smoke Monday morning as Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene inside the Marrakesh Country Club.
Just after 8:45 a.m., firefighters arrived at the 73000 block of Amir Drive, in Palm Desert to the scene of a single-story-two unit duplex fire, officials say.
According to a Cal Fire spokesperson, the duplex fire was contained to the garage of the building.

Firefighters were slated to remain in the area until around 11 a.m., mopping up the blaze.
There were no calls to the Red Cross to assist with any displacements, according to Cal Fire, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
