Dylan, McCartney, Stones: Classic Rock Legends Expected at New Indio Festival

Concert promoter Goldenvoice will reportedly bring several classic rock legends together this fall.

INDIO, CA - As the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival begins its annual takeover of the region, its organizers are already setting their sights on hosting another mega festival in Indio, this one bringing together an impressive ensemble of classic rock legends this fall, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

Concert promoter Goldenvoice will reportedly bring together Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Neil Young and Roger Waters for a three-day festival held at the Empire Polo Grounds, the site of the Coachella Music Festival. The concert is tentatively planned for the weekend of Oct. 7-9.

Goldenvoice representatives could not be immediately reached for comment.

Concert details reported by the Times have Dylan and the Rolling Stones performing on the first night of the festival, with McCartney and Young performing Saturday and the Who and Waters on Sunday.

"It's so special in so many ways," Young's manager, Elliot Roberts, told the newspaper, "because you won't get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It's a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time."
