Fire In La Quinta Family Displaces Two Adults
Firefighters rushed to the Torreon Way home where heavy smoke and flames were showing from the garage.

LA QUINTA, CA— A fire ignited at a La Quinta home on Wednesday afternoon, leading to two adults being displaced from their home, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department shared.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m., a non-injury blaze was reported in the 80300 block of Torreon Way, according to a Cal Fire spokesperson.
Arriving crews encountered heavy fire from the garage, and a second-alarm response was requested.

It was contained by noon, and significant damage was reported to the structure.
Though the Red Cross was requested to assist the residents declined assistance, officials said.

Crews were expected to remain at the scene for an additional two hours for heavy salvage and overhaul.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
