Free Pop-Up Shop Wednesday For Those In Need In Coachella Valley
The joint venture between Martha's Village and BrightDyed Designs will allow residents to shop for free for clothing and other items.
INDIO, CA — Martha’s Village & Kitchen and BrightDyed Designs are co-hosting a one-day, pop-up shop, Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, that will allow impoverished or homeless Coachella Valley residents to shop for free for clothing of all sizes and other items, including some back-to-school gear.
Each attendee will be given a bag that can be filled with the donated items, most new and others gently used, that were collected during the preparations, according to organizers.
The shopping event was the idea of BrightDyed Designs, a business that sells tie-dye designs, arts and crafts and is owned by a mother and her daughters in La Quinta.
