Taco Bell Hotel Sells Out In 2 Minutes In Palm Springs
Fans from around the country, including a honeymooning couple, arrived this weekend for a fiery stay at "The Bell," a limited-time resort.
PALM SPRINGS, CA — Lucky fans, from 21 different states, managed to score rooms this weekend at The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort in Palm Springs — not an easy feat as stays at the Taco Bell-themed property sold out in two minutes.
The hotel opened Thursday and the final check-outs will be Monday, with guests treated to "Bell" hops, poolside entertainment and DJs, a dive-in movie, an on-site salon offering Taco Bell-inspired manis, "Fire Fades" and Cinnamon-Twist braids, discounted Lyft rides around town and a gift shop selling Bell fashion gear and such commemorative swag as sauce-packet pool floaties and phone chargers. (See the "Taco Shop" merchandise here.)
And on The Bell hotel menu: such exclusive dishes as Fire Chip Chilaquiles (recipe here); room-service, build-your-own breakfast tacos; chipotle butter popcorn with Verde seasoning; and specialty drinks like a Strawberry Sangria Baja Blast popsicles in Champagne and a Horchata-Date Smoothie.
