Heat, Humidity Forecast For Palm Desert: Excessive Heat Warning
As monsoons parked over the Inland Empire desert communities, the desert remains under excessive heat warnings. Here's what to expect.

PALM DESERT, CA —Palm Desert residents began the week under an Excessive Heat Warning, according to the National Weather Service.
Dangerously hot conditions were expected in the Coachella Valley, as well as the San Gorgonio Pass and Banning area, through Wednesday at 8 p.m.
"Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities," the NWS shared. Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioning and stay out of the sun, they advised. Also, be sure to check in with elderly relatives and neighbors, never leave children or pets inside of unattended cars, and take extra precautions when spending time outside.

A slight chance of hunderstorms remained possible in Palm Desert Monday, however, that chance was predicted to give way to hot and dry days through mid-week, meteorologists predicted.
Elsewhere in Riverside County, Temecula Valley residents enjoyed a brief respite from the hot weather Sunday as cloud cover brought in humidity and relieved the triple-digit temperatures. A few showers spattered the region, though desert communities saw monsoon storms along with high winds and blowing dust, the National Weather Service reported.
