Inaugural 'LiveWell Festival' in Palm Desert Park Will Showcase 'Trapeze Yoga' Among Other Things

PALM DESERT, CA – Bikram Yoga Plus – Coachella Valley will have a pop-up yoga studio at the LiveWell Festival on Saturday, January 7 in Palm Desert Civic Center Park. The temporary yoga studio will offer short demonstration classes throughout the event, which runs from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Visiting the Bikram Yoga Plus – Coachella Valley pop-up studio is a great way to try trapeze yoga, one of the many offerings at the newly renovated Palm Desert yoga studio. The pop-up studio will be located in the “Mind, Body, Spirit” section of the LiveWell Festival, which is an all-inclusive wellness event.

“I’ve done Bikram Yoga for more than 35 years, and I can’t live without it,” said DuBarry Hay, owner of Bikram Yoga Plus – Coachella Valley. “I understand Bikram Yoga is not for everyone, but exercise is for everyone. So, we offer a lot of fun exercise options.”

To showcase one of the studio’s classes, Valentina Powers, Zumba instructor at Bikram Yoga Plus, will lead a Zumba class from 1-1:30 p.m. on the LiveWell Festival stage. At the studio, located off Cook Street, Bikram Yoga Plus – Coachella Valley offers classes in Bikram yoga, hot yoga, vinyasa, yin, trapeze, Zone yoga, Pilates mat, Pilates Power Gym, hot Pilates, NIA dance, Soul Fusion, Zumba and more.

Organized by MyCityEveryday.com, the inaugural festival will highlight the desert’s health and wellness service community. The festival is free and open to the public, but LiveWell Bands (available for $20) offer special perks and discounts exclusively provided by exhibitors from the LiveWell Festival throughout the month of January 2017. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society, Desert Arc, and The Brightest Star.
