This year's Indian Wells Arts Festival starts Friday with a festival within a festival.
Included in the 12th annual art show, which runs through Sunday at the Indian Wells Tennis Center, is the Objet Trouve Found Art Festival, which includes about 50 artists who will construct a 20-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower with found objects.
About 200 artists will showcase their work at the larger, juried art festival, which covers painting, drawing, ceramics, weaving, sculpture, jewelry, glass and photography. Artists are required attend the show daily to talk about their work and demonstrate techniques.

The festival also will include food, activities for children, wine tasting and live music. Proceeds from the festival will support local art scholarships, according to organizers.
Festival hours are from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is $12. Children 12 and younger are free. For more information, go to http://indianwellsartsfestival.com.
