Jewish Federation, Tamarisk women partner with donation of wheelchair lift vehicle

Once again the Jewish Federation of the Desert and the Women’s Association of Tamarisk Country Club put Angel View in the driver’s seat.

The Jewish Federation has not only assisted at two Angel View residential homes -- Friedman House and Joel’s House -- with replacing floors, kitchens, air conditioning units, furnishings and much more, they’ve taken it a step further. Recently, the group donated a second wheelchair accessible van to Angel View clients.

“We can’t thank them enough for their tireless efforts on our behalf,” said Angel View’s Executive Director Patti Park. “This amazing collaboration has spanned more than 30 years!”

“Through our partnership with Tamarisk,” said Jewish Federation CEO Bruce Landgarten, “we can take the pressure off Angel View, let them do their 24-7 critical care, and we’ll take care of the some of the important needs to enhance the quality of living for the residents of Angel View. It’s been a heartfelt relationship and partnership.”

Joan Kerns and Cora Ginsberg, representing the Tamarisk Women’s Association, were on hand with Landgarten to present the vehicle to Angel View. Ginsberg noted that the Angel View clients have made quite an impression since she first met a group 20 years ago in Sun City and at an opera event in the desert.
