'Liquidation Sale Underway, All Sales Final' As IE Women's Fashion Store Closes

The clothing and accessories retailer with stores in 45 states is reportedly planning to shutter all locations and liquidate its inventory.

INLAND EMPIRE, CA — All sales are final at Francesca's Chino Hills, Palm Springs, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, and Temecula locations. Those stores are some of the over 400 across the national brand that is shuttering after over 25 years in business.

The clothier, which sells jewelry, bridal, and seasonal wardrobe updates at malls across America, announced it was liquidating its inventory. As of Wednesday, the Promenade Temecula Francesca's store remains open.

"We have a 20% perscent off liquidation sale happening at the store right now," an employee of the Promenade Temecula Mall told Patch. All sales are final.

A report in Women's Wear Daily stated that Francesca's intends to liquidate all its goods, and that merchants have let employees go without warning. It was not clear which store released its workers, according to the article.

Founded in 1999, Houston-based Francesca's opened stores in 45 states, employing more than 3,400 people.

Francesca's has not publicly confirmed the closing. However, its online store is advertising sales of 20 percent off.
