Living Desert Hosting 'Jazzy Romance' At Concert Series

Jazzoo Concert Series continues Feb. 8 with a "Jazzy Romance for Your Valentine."

The Living Desert continues its annual Jazzoo Concert Series when it hosts a “Jazzy Romance for Your Valentine with Carol Bach-y-Rita” on Sunday, February 8 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Carol Bach-y-Rita is a seasoned performer with a love for jazz, Brazilian music and salsa that is expressed during each show. With a career that has taken her all over the world, it has proven to her that music is a powerful tool and unites any audience.

“This concert series is a great way to enjoy admired jazz performers in an intimate setting,” said Allen Monroe, President/CEO of The Living Desert. “We invite aficionados to an early Valentine’s Day celebration with the alluring sounds of Ms. Bach-y-Rita.”

Guests can gather with friends, along with members of The Living Desert community, as it celebrates more than three decades of jazz music. Attendees are welcome to bring picnics and beverages to enjoy while reveling in the sounds of some of the best jazz musicians and ensembles in southern California. A corkage fee applies on alcoholic beverages brought into the venue. Beer and wine, as well as light snacks, also will be available for purchase.

Additional concerts in the series will be held March 1 featuring The Nick Mancini Quartet offering a Tribute to Milt Jackson; March 22 with Standards in the Afternoon with Sinne Eeg; concluding on April 12 with The Season’s Last Hurrah: Cheryl Bentyne and John Proulx. All concerts are held on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. Tickets, on sale now, are $35 for members and $45 for non-members.
