Michael Jackson's Costume Designer Gets Star On Palm Springs Walk
Michael Bush, alongside his late partner and co-designer, custom-designed outfits for the late performer for nearly a quarter century.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — A star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars honoring Michael Bush was being unveiled Tuesday, recognizing his contributions to costume design.
Bush, alongside his late partner and co-designer, Dennis Tompkins, custom-designed outfits for Michael Jackson for nearly a quarter of a century. He also designed costumes for Britney Spears.
Tompkins and Bush created several of Jackson's most classic looks and costumes, including his crystallized gloves, shiny "forward-leaning" shoes to his jewel encrusted military style jackets.

Many of their creations were photographed by Bush in his 2013 book "The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson." The book, authored by Bush, pictures a number of the designs alongside stories about them.
Actress Margaret O'Brien, Martin Nolan, executive director of Julien's Auctions, and Bush's siblings, Larry and Cathy Bush, were set to join him in speaking at the 11 a.m. ceremony at the intersection of Arenas Road and South Palm Canyon Drive unveiling the 445th star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.
