Modernism Week Fall Preview Gets Underway Friday
Fall Preview events will run through Monday.

Four days of events leading to Palm Springs Modernism Week will get under way Friday.
Modernism Week’s Fall Preview will open with walking tours of historic buildings in the morning and, in the evening, an Hawaii-themed party at the Hacienda Cantina & Beach Club, where the 1961 Elvis Presley movie “Blue Hawaii” will be shown.

Modernism Week is Feb. 12-22 and celebrates the popular design aesthetic from the 1950s and ‘60s.
Other planned events include a sneak peak of the Palm Springs Art Museum’s new Architecture & Design center, the first fall edition of the annual Modernism Show & Sale, a showcase of photographs of the Salton Sea, and the festival’s signature double-decker architectural bus tours.
