The H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation awarded a $25,000 impact grant to Pathfinder Ranch.

PALM DESERT, CA — More than 20 Coachella Valley kids and teens will be able to attend a summer camp designed for outdoor exploration thanks to a $25,000 grant, officials announced Monday.

The H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation awarded an impact grant to Pathfinder Ranch, located in the San Jacinto Mountains, which will provides youth aged 7-17 an opportunity to take part in team-building activities and nature exploration in a "screen-free environment," officials said.

"Pathfinder Ranch has been transforming young lives through outdoor education for generations," Catharine Reed, vice president of charitable programs for the organization, said in a statement.

"These scholarships will give many children the opportunity to discover strengths they never knew they had, and support for our equine education program will benefit every camper this summer and onto the fall," Executive Director of Pathfinder Ranch Chris Fife said in a statement.
