Recycle Your Christmas Tree In Palm Desert: What To Know
When the pine needles cover your carpet, it becomes a fire risk. Here's how and when to recycle your live tree this year.

PALM DESERT, CA — Christmas has come and gone, and while the tree may still be merry under the lights and sparkle, a live tree can become a fire hazard as it dries out.
When it's time for recycling, Burrtec Waste and Recycling, Palm Desert's franchised waste hauler, will provide a Christmas tree recycling program for the residents.
Burrtec Waste and Recycling will start picking up your Christmas trees curbside during the two weeks following the holiday, the city of Palm Desert reported on its website.
