No injuries reported in the Thursday evening collision, authorities said.

PALM DESERT, CA – A Palm Desert woman was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a Thursday evening collision in Palm Desert, according to authorities.

Jeanne Moore, 59, was driving east on Whirling Wind Drive at about 5 p.m. when her sedan hit another vehicle heading south on Washington Street, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

No injuries were reported, but the Palm Desert Police Department determined that Moore appeared to show symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, the agency said. Moore was arrested, transported to a local hospital "as a precaution," and later was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio, deputies said.
