'Until We Meet Again': Palm Desert Father's Day Photo

PALM DESERT, CA — Father's Day 2018 is almost here, and we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across California to share their dads whether the father figure in their life is their biological dad, stepdad, or granddad.

Patch reader Liz Clayton of Palm Desert shared this photo of her late husband that was taken at Desert Hills Country Club. Liz writes:

"I would like to honor my husband, Bill, the father of our two girls, Cheryl & Amy, who passed away in 2012. Bill showed nothing but strength and courage throughout his three-year battle with cancer.

"He was the owner of the Emerson County, golf course in Emerson, NJ... built by his father Daniel in 1963.
We established residency in Palm Desert due to our love of golf courses and what the area had to offer in his retirement.

"Our thoughts are always with you, your place no one can fill. Until we meet again."
