When Does Obama Come to L.A, Palm Springs?
President Barack Obama is coming to town for several events.

President Barack Obama set to visit the Southland beginning Thursday, and he’s scheduled to remain in the region through Tuesday, according to officials.
He’s due to arrive in Los Angeles first, where he’ll tape an appearance on the show “Ellen” and attend some fundraisers. Specific details of the president’s travels are never made public, but police often provide general information about areas motorists should try to avoid. (Scroll down for more on closures)
Obama is then scheduled to arrive at Palm Springs International Airport aboard Air Force One around noon Friday, and will make his way over to Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage. There, he will be joined by Secretary of State John Kerry for the gathering on Monday and Tuesday of leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The summit is aimed at strengthening the new U.S.- ASEAN strategic partnership, forged last November during a presidential trip to Malaysia.

“This unprecedented gathering -- the first hosted by the United States with the ASEAN leaders -- builds on the deeper partnership that the United States has forged with ASEAN since 2009 and will further advance the Administration’s rebalance to Asia and the Pacific,” according to a White House statement.
A large number of protesters are expected to voice opposition to everything from Obama’s deportation policies to the poor human rights records of some of the member nations, like Cambodia and Vietnam.
