COACHELLA, CA —Are you planning a weekend at the Coachella Festival? Know when you go! The weather for the second weekend of Coachella is going to be cool and windy according to the National Weather Service.
A Windblown Dust Advisory is in effect for the second weekend of the Coachella Festival of Music and Arts, the National Weather Service also advised.
Stirring dust is likely to cause unhealthy air, the South Coast Air Quality Management District says. A Windblown Dust Advisory. The agency said that the advisory will be in effect until 3 p.m. "due to high winds and dry conditions" affecting the area between Whitewater and Desert Center, producing particulate matter that will lower air quality.

"In areas directly impacted by high levels of windblown dust, limit your exposure by remaining indoors with windows and doors closed and avoiding vigorous physical activity," the SCAQMD said. "Run your air conditioner or an air purifier. If temperatures allow, avoid using whole-house fans or swamp coolers that bring in outside air."
The storm system swept through the region Thursday night and Friday morning bringing more than a quarter-inch of rain in some areas.

Beaumont reported .28 inches of rain as of 5 a.m.
Prado Dam reported .27 inches of rain and Murrieta reported .21 inches of rain and Temecula .14 inches of rain overnight.
