Xavier Prep Student Wins National Merit Scholarship
Lien Le was chosen based on academics, test scores, activities and leadership.

Lein Le, a student at Xavier College Prep, has earned the National Merit Scholarship.
She was chosen to receive the award from a pool of over 1.5 million entrants.
Le has “literally set the bar in academics, on the soccer field, and through her international studies,” according to Jennifer Baker, College Counselor at Xavier. “Lien has made a huge impact on the class of 2012, she has completed 11 AP (Advanced Placement) exams, including two self-study courses.”

Lein was a part of Xavier’s first league champion girls soccer team, and competed on the Mock Trial team. She has received three full scholarships that have allowed her to study abroad over the summer: 2010 in South Korea, and the NSLI-Y scholarship in 2011 enabling her to study in Turkey.
Before she begins studies at Harvard, Le plans a year of studying on scholarship in Germany.
