Dream Hotel Misses More Deadlines as Palm Springs Project Faces New Delays (nbcpalmsprings.com) — Palm Springs officials are again grappling with delays on the long-promised Dream Hotel near the Convention Center, after the developer missed key construction milestones and was placed in default under a March agreement. City staff may now explore penalties or another amended deal, even as the developer insists construction can still start October 1 and new plans address building-code and safety concerns.
   

2. Lt. William Hutchinson retiring from Palm Springs Police Dept after 28 years (kesq.com) — Palm Springs neighbors are saying goodbye to Lieutenant William Hutchinson, who is retiring after three decades with the city's police department. 3. Alaska Airlines Resumes Nonstop Palm Springs to Santa Rosa Service (nbcpalmsprings.com) — Palm Springs International Airport has welcomed back Alaska Airlines' nonstop seasonal flights to Santa Rosa, returning more than six weeks earlier than last year. The route gives local travelers and visitors a quicker link between Palm Springs and Northern California wine country, with airport officials emphasizing efforts to expand convenient direct service in and out of the Coachella Valley.
   

4. Palm Springs Pride announces 2026 Pride Honors Award recipients (kesq.com) — Palm Springs residents can look ahead to the 2026 Pride Honors Awards on September 24 at the Palm Springs Hilton, celebrating the city's 40th year of Pride. Local advocates, businesses, and allies—including Townie Bagels' owners and community leaders at the Convention Center—will be recognized for their work supporting LGBTQ+ life across Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.
