Cohousing Neighborhoods for Pro-active Adults

World-renowned cohousing expert and architect Katie McCamant, co-author  “Creating Cohousing: Building Sustainable Communities”, along with members of Wolf Creek Lodge and the Mountain View Cohousing Community, will host the following presentation about cohousing in general and these projects specifically.

For many baby boomers, the suburban lifestyle that was once a dream of spaciousness and gracious living is becoming a liability. The coveted large home and rolling lawn are a pain to maintain.  Active adults enjoy the company of like-minded people and are happy if they don’t have to get into the car to see their friends. In cohousing communities, the friends are right next door. While living our current active lives, we can also look forward to aging in place in neighborhoods that provide a dynamic balance of private homes and community living.
