Humanist Community in Silicon Valley Sunday Morning Forum: Eleanor Roosevelt and the American Worker

Eleanor Roosevelt was a staunch and lifelong advocate for workers and a proud member of the AFL-CIO's Newspaper Guild for more than twenty-five years.  Brigid O'Farrell, who has a master’s degree from Harvard University, will discuss her new book She Was One of Us: Eleanor Roosevelt and the American Worker, which tells for the first time the story of Mrs. Roosevelt’s deep and lasting ties to the American labor movement.
