Humanist Community in Silicon Valley Sunday Morning Forum: The Humanism of Julia Child, America’s French Chef

In honor of Women’s History Month, come celebrate the wit and wisdom of Julia Child. Author, cook, and television personality, she changed the way Americans cooked, ate and thought about food. Child stated publicly, “I hate organized religion,” instead, she revered people, ideas, and the joys of eating and cooking. She was passionate about butter, cream…and Planned Parenthood. Santa Clara University history professor Nancy C. Unger will present in words and images the life and philosophy of this American icon.
