The practice of yoga is known to enhance awareness of the body and its dramatic changes during pregnancy and after birth. Expectant and new moms join together to strengthen the mind and body at all stages of the childbearing year. Poses will help the expectant mom maintain a strong body throughout her pregnancy, aiding in an easier labor and faster recovery. The same poses help the postpartum mom recover from nine months of "sharing" her body.
Yoga helps realign your body with the forces of gravity, constantly shifting during pregnancy and the postpartum period, so that life can be experienced not only with more strength, but with a sense of dignity and delight. Each class will include a "check-in," and finish with a relaxation/visualization.
This class is designed just for expectant and new moms. New moms will enjoy a break from their babies. Moms looking to practice with their babies will enjoy Blossom's Mom & Baby Yoga, offered three times weekly.
