Salad University

Expand your awareness of useful plants for your
health, more-efficient gardening, making use of
edible weeds, creating resilient ecologies, and
lowering medical bills. The class will move through
the garden to taste, learn about, and gather cultivated
and wild plants (annual, biennial and perennial) for a
40-ingredient salad containing flowers, herbs, usual
and unusual greens. We will cover some of the
medicinal properties. At the end we will share the
salad, a blend of what we find along with other
ingredients. Learn about favorite seeds and plants to
be found at Common Ground. Taught by Bill Taylor and Jaye Moscariello who have operated Floodgate Farm since 2003. He and Jaye offer many classes
up and down the Mendocino coast and beyond.
Class meets at the Common Ground Garden.
