Silicon Valley Restaurant Week 2010

The Valley's top restaurants will participate in Silicon Valley Restaurant Week by offering special fixed price menus in early November.

Silicon Valley Restaurant Week will return this year for one week, November 3-10, with participating restaurants offering three-course, prix-fixe dinners for $25, $35 and $45, excluding beverages, tax and gratuity.  Reservations at many restaurants will be available through Opentable, a sponsor of the event.

The annual event celebrates Silicon Valley's role as a leading regional dining destination.

"While other parts of Northern California tend to get more attention in the culinary press, Silicon Valley has become one of the dining world's best kept secrets," said Dan Pulcrano, CEO of the Silicon Valley weekly newspaper Metro, which is organizing the promotion in conjunction with media partners and local restaurants.

Silicon Valley Restaurant Week offers diners an opportunity to enjoy top restaurants at a very affordable price point."The menu of $35 worked well for us last year. People loved it. It allows the customer to get a great three course meal without spending a fortune," said Dominque Faury, owner and head chef at Twist Bistro in Campbell. And it provides restaurants exposure to new customers, "Restaurant Week introduced Birk's to a lot of first time customer," said Maurice Dissels of Birk's Restaurant in Santa Clara.
