The driver suffered major injuries in the incident on Friday morning.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – A driver of a United States Postal Service truck suffered major injuries when the truck overturned Friday morning in Millbrae, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.

CHP officials received a report of the crash at 6:59 a.m. on the Millbrae Avenue off-ramp from southbound U.S. Highway 101.

CHP spokesman Officer Art Montiel said the driver suffered moderate head injuries and was taken to a hospital. The driver was a Union City man in his early 60s.

He lost control of truck and it fell on its side, Montiel said. Traffic was not affected too as it was a holiday for many.

The off-ramp was closed and reopened after crews moved mail from one truck to another, CHP officials said.
