Motorist Hospitalized After Caltrain Accident In Palo Alto: UPDATE

Trains were moving again by 7:30 p.m. [Breaking]

PALO ALTO, CA – One person was injured and transported to a hospital after a commuter train struck a vehicle on the tracks in Palo Alto Monday evening.

Caltrain reported that northbound train No. 381 struck a pickup truck at the Meadow Drive crossing around 6:10 p.m.

The person inside the truck was transported by ambulance, according to Caltrain and transit police.

Trains stopped in both directions, causing lasting delays for passengers, but the scene had been cleared for single-track travel by around 6:50 p.m. and all trains had been cleared to move at 7:30 p.m.
