Palo Alto Restaurant Manager Found Dead: Report

Umut Felik's body was found Sunday in the San Joaquin Delta River.

PALO ALTO, CA —The body of man who managed a Palo Alto restaurant was found in the San Joaquin Delta River Sunday according to a published report.

Umut Felik, 27, was last seen swimming in the delta by friends on a nearby boat according to a report in The Palo Alto Daily Post, which cited the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office.

His friends reported him missing at about 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to the report, which said Sheriff’s deputies conducted a search of the area with sonar equipment that ended at 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Personnel from Solano County, Sacramento County, San Joaquin County and the U.S. Coast Guard assisted with the search.

Felik managed Tuba Mediterranean Restaurant in Palo Alto and Tuba Authentic Turkish Restaurant in San Francisco, both of which are under the same ownership.
