• Police Arrest Arson Suspect for Palos Verdes Estates Brush Fire (mynewsla.com) — A suspected arsonist was arrested after a brush fire burned about a quarter-acre of parkland near the 1700 block of Paseo La Cresta in Palos Verdes Estates, but no homes were damaged and no one was hurt. Quick reporting by a resident and recent city weed abatement helped firefighters contain the blaze, and police are asking anyone with additional information to contact their detective bureau.
