61st July 4th Celebration: Music, Games, Parade in Palos Verdes Estates

Have you or someone you know participated in one of the memorable 60 years of Palos Verdes Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebrations?
www.PVJuly4.org You may have baked an apple pie for the contest, decorated a bike with streamers, shepherded your child along the parade route, attended the puppet show, written a school essay, or even been a winner. Generations have picnicked while listening to the live music and sung along to The Star-Spangled Banner or run a three-legged race with siblings, parents or friends. You may have laughed, cheered or been moved to tears by guest  speakers from Jimmy Stewart to SpaceX COO Gwynne Shotwell, Marvel’s Stan Lee, Tommy Lasorda and LA Mayor Richard Riordan.
Apple Pie Bakers must enter their pie between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30. 1st place winner receives a live apple tree from Bennett Landscape & a blue ribbon, 2nd and 3rd place receive ribbons. All participants receive a gift card from Hof's Hut.



8:30 a.m.	Apple Pie Baking Contest entries accepted for judging. All pies must be homemade and contain apples. All ages accepted.
9:30 a.m.	Apple Pie Judging takes place
9:30 a.m.	Face Painting
9:30 a.m.	Line up for Children's Bicycle Parade
10:10 a.m.	Children's Patriotic Bicycle Parade
10:15 a.m.	Magic Show


