5 Ways To Celebrate Earth Month In Palos Verdes
There are plenty of ways to get involved this month throughout the Palos Verdes area.

PALOS VERDES, CA – Palos Verdes is celebrating Mother Earth in a big way – instead of a single day dedicated to our planet, there's an entire month's worth of activities and ways to get involved. If you're not already a recycling and composting expert, no worries. There are plenty of ways to get involved this month throughout the city, including a compositing workshop for beginners!
Here's a roundup of Earth Month activities in Palos Verdes:
- Composting Workshop for Beginners: Saturday, April 14th at Hesse Park, Fireside Room. Presentation starts at 9:30 am and will last 60 to 90 minutes.
- 2018 Palos Verdes Earth Day Celebration: Wednesday, April 18th from 3 pm to 6 pm at Promenade on the Peninsula. Event includes Document/Paper Shredding at El Pollo Inka Parking Lot.
- Free Document Shredding and Electronic Waste Roundup Event: Saturday, April 21st from 8 am to 11 am at the Rancho Palos Verdes Civic Center/City Hall Parking Lot. Free mulch will also be available.
- Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic/Computer Waste Roundup" Saturday, April 28th from 9 am to 3 pm at the Rancho Palos Verdes Civic Center/City Yard.
- EDCO Spring Season’s City-wide Brush Clearing Event: starts on Saturday April 21st for five consecutive Saturdays.
