Commercial Fire Breaks Out Near Corrosive Chemicals

A fire started in a commercial building at about 3:10 p.m. Saturday at 16520 South Figueroa St., & a hazardous materials team was requested.

CARSON, CA – Firefighters put out a blaze inside a commercial building with corrosive chemicals inside on Saturday, authorities said. It was reported at 3:10 p.m. at 16520 South Figueroa St., Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores said.

At about 3:30 p.m., the fire was declared out and a hazardous materials team was requested "to ensure the safety of hazardous products inside the building," according to the LACFD. No product was believed to be involved in the fire and no injuries were reported.
