Coronavirus In Rancho Palos Verdes: 156 Cases

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Health officials Wednesday reported 2,496 new COVID-19 cases across Los Angeles County along with 19 more deaths.

There are 156 reported cases in Rancho Palos Verdes and 12 reported deaths, according to Los Angeles County health officials Wednesday.

Last week, there were 134 reported cases in Rancho Palos Verdes, according to Los Angeles County health officials. The death rate did not increase over the last week.

The virus is spiking statewide, with Los Angeles County seeing record numbers for new coronavirus cases.

In Santa Monica, a worker at a Whole Foods Market on Montana Avenue tested positive for COVID-19.

In Culver City, eight police department employees also tested positive.
